Tonhub, a popular wallet based on the TON blockchain, has partnered with Visa to launch a debit card, enabling users to make purchases directly from their TON or USDT balances. According to the creators, the card promises to revolutionize daily payments. Find out more below.
According to the official product website, the new card will be linked to a wallet on the TON blockchain. This means that the account will not be just a bank record but a smart contract that users can control independently.
In addition to payments in TON and USDT, the card offers:
- Support for Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA, and SWIFT;
- The ability to make purchases both online and offline;
- Automatic cryptocurrency-to-fiat conversion.
Other declared benefits include:
- An intuitive KYC process;
- A 1.5% transaction fee.
Currently, only EU residents can apply for the card. However, by 2025, the Tonhub team plans to expand its availability to residents of the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Ukraine, and CIS countries.
