The trader fully closed his position in the 牛来 memecoin with a $1.43 K profit, just one day after buying 38 M tokens for $148. Analysts at Lookonchain drew attention to the transaction. As of August 18, that stash is worth $1.3 M. The token appeared on BNB Chain in mid-August and is associated with the Chinese animated film of the same name.
The trader bought the tokens when the memecoin’s market cap was around $3.9 K and sold them when it reached $42 K. After the trader exited, the memecoin continued to climb, reaching a peak market cap of $46 M. At the time of publication, the token’s price stands at $0.03071.
The memecoin’s surge was driven by a sharp increase in interest in the film 牛来 (The Bull Has Arrived), which grossed around 7,000 yuan during its first nine days of online release before going viral thanks to its abstract visual style and the story behind its creation. By August 17, the film had grossed 13.3 M yuan, with projections of up to 89 M yuan.
The trader bought the tokens at an early stage, when the project’s market cap was only a few thousand dollars, but fully exited the position just one day later. After the sale, his balance of the token dropped to zero.
It is known that the token’s creator did not buy a single coin of this version and made no profit from it, earning money only from secondary launches.
