Pudgy Penguins, the digital asset studio behind one of the most recognized NFT collections, announced a partnership with Kindred Labs to develop intelligent digital characters based on the iconic penguin designs.
Kindred applies artificial intelligence and blockchain to give collectible characters the ability to adapt, learn, and build personalized interactions with users.
How It Works
Kindred is developing an AI agent that leverages licensed intellectual property. This allows NFT owners to directly interact with their digital characters. The characters can be integrated into different platforms and devices.
The Pudgy Penguins collection includes 8,888 NFT penguins on the Ethereum network. Beyond digital tokens, the brand became widely known for its toy line, sold in Walmart stores across the United States as well as in Asia, the UK, the UAE, and Australia.
Now the project moves beyond physical and digital collectibles, transforming its IP into fully interactive avatars.
The teams stated that this new integration will allow fans not only to own NFTs but also to participate in the development of characters. This format of interaction with digital objects is expected to increase emotional engagement and set a new direction for the NFT industry.
Pudgy Penguins are currently pursuing active product development. Their mobile game Pudgy Party has been downloaded more than 500,000 times in two weeks. The project integrates Web3 elements, enabling players to own items and trade them through a built-in marketplace.
Meanwhile, the floor price of the collection’s tokens has risen by 9% over the past month and a half.
