Collectible cards featuring Pudgy Penguins NFT brand characters have gone on sale in Japan’s largest retail chains. They are available in popular stores including 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Lawson, Ministop, Poplar, Seicomart, and Daily Yamazaki. Some designs remain undisclosed, which helps drive interest among collectors.
The card sales are part of the brand’s broader expansion in the region. On August 8, the project announced the launch of its regional office Igloo APAC, which will focus on promoting Pudgy Penguins in Asia and Oceania.
According to the company, the new division will work on expanding the project’s presence through partnerships with local companies, adapting products to local markets, and running marketing campaigns.
Soulbound Token for Players
As part of its global growth strategy, the team is also introducing gaming and technology solutions. On August 26, Pudgy Penguins developers unveiled a Soulbound Token (SBT) called Early to the Party.
Users who preload the Pudgy Party mobile game and register in the system will be eligible to receive the token. Distribution will begin after the official game launch.
Soulbound tokens cannot be sold or transferred. They are permanently tied to the user’s wallet and can be used to unlock additional features or provide access to certain services. In this case, the SBT will serve as a reward for early participants in the mobile franchise launch.
Following the news, the floor price of NFTs from the Pudgy Penguins collection rose by 2,28% to 10,33 ETH.
