Pudgy Party Reaches 500,000 Downloads in Two Weeks

Pudgy Party was released on August 29 as a joint development between Pudgy Penguins and Mythical Games. It is a multiplayer battle royale with mini-games and characters from the Pudgy Penguins collection. The game includes optional Web3 features, such as ownership of items and their trading via the Mythical Platform marketplace. By September 11, developers reported more than 500,000 installs.

Player’s Reactions

According to a gamer known as Spike, the project has “the right foundation of Web3” and does not force players to buy tokens or NFTs from the very beginning. He added that he has tried more than 300 Web3 games and called Pudgy Party a “masterpiece.” He also noted that the game has an “insanely fun gameplay loop” and that its progression and collecting systems motivate players to return.

Empirex founder Zorin pointed out that he managed to get his sister into the game and emphasized that this is how mass onboarding into Web3 should work: the game needs to be fun.

At the same time, the PENGU token is still trading below its July high but has grown by almost 20% over the past seven days, reaching $0.03338, according to CoinMarketCap.

Project Plans

Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz told Yellow Panther that new maps and modes will be released in the fourth quarter, along with partnerships with major brands and influencers. He also announced a tournament with a prize pool of $1 mln in PENGU tokens.
