The Open Network community has voted to rename its native token from Toncoin to Gram. A total of 81.22% of participants supported the change during the vote held on the TON Vote platform from June 1 to June 8, 2026. The token’s ticker will change from TON to GRAM, with the new branding taking effect on June 15, 2026, at 12:00 UTC.
The changes apply only to the token’s name, ticker, and logo. The blockchain itself will continue to operate under the name The Open Network, with no changes to the network’s architecture or infrastructure.
No token swap, bridge, claim process, or migration will take place. Users are not required to take any action. Balances, addresses, smart contracts, NFTs, staking positions, and DeFi positions will remain unchanged.
The project also said that cryptocurrency exchanges and other ecosystem participants will update the token’s designation simultaneously on June 15. The full transition to the new name, ticker, and visual identity is expected to be completed by June 22, 2026.
