The Solana Foundation has introduced Agent Skills — preconfigured functions that enable AI tools to interact with the Solana blockchain. The solution targets developers building autonomous agents with access to DeFi, payments, and the network’s infrastructure.

Solana Agent Skills are essentially ready-to-use building blocks that can be embedded into AI applications without additional setup. According to the description, installation takes just one line of code, after which the agent gains access to operations within the Solana ecosystem.

According to the developers, the official modules cover core tasks: handling common errors, providing security validation, enabling confidential transfers, and maintaining compatibility across versions. At the same time, a set of community-driven solutions is also evolving.

The list of partner projects includes Jupiter Exchange, Raydium, Helius, dflow, and Metaplex. Through their tools, agents gain access to DeFi operations, payment infrastructure, and on-chain data.

The format предполагает that a developer builds an AI agent capable of understanding the network’s structure and executing transactions without manual intervention.

“Agent Skills effectively act as a layer between the model and the blockchain, standardizing interaction and lowering the barrier to entry,” according to the project page.
