Forgotten Playland, a social multiplayer game featuring plushie characters, has integrated with Beam Network built on the Avalanche blockchain.

The update was accompanied by the introduction of a battle pass system, along with new features and in-game assets that can now be freely bought and sold.

Integrating with the blockchain turns in-game items into tokenized assets. This means that players can not only collect cosmetics and boosters but also own them as fully tradable NFTs, enabling participation in the game’s economy and external marketplaces.

New Economy and NFT-Based Motivation

According to the announcement, players now have access to two types of tokens:

  • Cosmetic items, such as skins, emotes, and visual character traits
  • Toybox collections, which are limited-edition items

These Toybox items are issued in small batches and are available through special events or via subscription. NFT items can be earned through in-game activity or as part of the battle pass.

Zico Bakker, co-founder of Duckland Games, stated that the new tokens strengthen in-game motivation.

“Players are now engaged not just for visual progression, but also for social and financial rewards. It makes the game deeper and more interesting,” he said.

At the same time, the game launched the Fluffy Points campaign, where users earn points by owning NFTs, completing quests, and participating in general gameplay. These points can be used for future raffles and airdrops.

New Game Modes and Language Support

The update also introduced seasonal quests, rewards, and support for the German language. In two weeks, the developers plan to release two new mini-game modes and later announce a full battle mechanic called Plushkyn Battle.

Forgotten Playland is available for free on PC via the Epic Games Store.
