A total of 500 boxes went on sale at a price of $50 each. The collection generated high demand among fans and sold out on the very first day. The boxes were designed in the Doodles style and decorated with the brand’s signature rainbow toucan from Froot Loops. The cereal itself was not included in the set. Each buyer received a digital collectible token issued on Coinbase’s Base Layer 2 network.
Some of the boxes were signed by Scott “Burnt Toast” Martin, the artist and CEO of Doodles. One of the 500 packages contained an original sketch created specifically for the project.
According to Martin, Froot Loops is associated with nostalgia and a sense of childhood lightness, which aligns with the philosophy of Doodles – bright palettes, charismatic characters, and playfulness.
The artist emphasized that the collaboration was conceived as a collectible, limited-edition product meant for owners to keep and display.
Martin also noted that Froot Loops has a long history of collaborations with artists. Over the years, the brand worked with Andy Warhol and Norman Rockwell. He described including Doodles in this legacy as an “unreal feeling” and a natural continuation of the tradition.
“The box came out super beautiful. It’s an archival art edition, premium quality, with a silky surface like an iPhone box. It has multilayered printing and embossed lines. This is a true collectible piece at a museum level. To share the stage with Norman Rockwell is a great honor,” he said.
Earlier, it was reported that on May 7 Doodles launched its own token DOOD and prepared a large-scale airdrop for NFT holders and active community participants.
