The TST token on BNB Chain skyrocketed by over 22,500% after being mentioned (accidentally or not) in a tweet by Binance founder Changpeng "CZ" Zhao. The token’s market capitalization briefly exceeded $52 million before crashing down to $15 million.

It all started with a tutorial video published by the BNB Chain team on the Four.Meme platform. The video demonstrated the process of creating a meme coin, using TST as an example. The video was later removed, but traders had already noticed the token’s ticker and began buying it en masse, causing explosive growth.

CZ’s Comment After seeing the hype surrounding the token, Zhao clarified that TST is not an official Binance or BNB Chain token and was only used in the tutorial video. He also mentioned that the project’s team had removed the private key of the address associated with the token, which held 0.13% of the total TST supply.

However, the former Binance CEO noted that it would be better to restore the video since "the internet never forgets." He wished everyone "happy trading."

Some traders were able to make six-figure profits from the speculation. One purchased TST for $35,000 just five minutes before CZ’s tweet, and at the peak, had an unrealized profit of over $657,000. This same address turned out to be the largest holder of the token.

At the time of writing, the token is trading at $0.027 with a market capitalization of $27.8 million.
