A South Korean YouTuber known as Satto, famous for his aggressive crypto trading, has gained notoriety for broadcasting his trades live. However, rather than celebrating big wins, his name has become synonymous with multi-million-dollar losses.
Since starting his channel in 2017, Satto has uploaded more than 845 videos and built an audience of 291,000 subscribers. His style — high risk — has drawn the attention of the crypto community.
Millions Lost in a Single Trade — Not as Profit
Satto went viral after using 25x leverage to purchase 240 BTC for $10 million at around $41.60 per coin, with liquidation set at $40.20. For several hours, the streamer watched the position before ultimately losing everything.
It wasn’t his only such story. That same year, Satto live-streamed another liquidation in which he lost $330,000 on a single trade. Despite these massive losses, his audience only continued to grow.
Mistakes That Cost Millions
In March 2023, Satto opened a short position for 186 BTC at $21,400. A few days later, he was liquidated, losing $800,000. Ironically, if he had opened a long position at the same level, he could have earned $8.75 million.
Later, during another live stream with friends, Satto took another big gamble. He aimed to make $100,000 but instead lost everything in just a few minutes.
Satto continues to broadcast his high-risk trades daily. His approach has become something of a meme in the crypto community. Many view his actions as a potential market indicator: if he enters a trade, it might be a sign to think twice before following suit.
