Two individuals have been detained in the United States on suspicion of participating in a series of provocative actions during games of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). According to representatives of the recently launched memecoin Green Dildo Coin (DiLDO), they are the ones behind these incidents, which were intended to draw attention to the project.

Crypto Enthusiasts Staged Acts at Basketball Games

Over the past two weeks, during five separate WNBA games in different U.S. cities, unknown individuals threw green-colored sex toys onto the court. The latest incident took place in Chicago on Thursday. The stunts received strong backlash from coaches and players and led to the arrest of two men.

A spokesperson for the crypto group, who goes by the alias Daldo Raine, told USA Today that the actions were carried out by a group of enthusiasts behind the DILDO token. According to him, the goal was to attract attention to the project without relying on influencers, whom he accused of distorting crypto culture.

The organizers claimed that the green color of the toys symbolizes upward price movement on charts. Raine promised that future actions would be “more appropriate” and less aggressive.

Suspects Admitted Their Actions

According to FOX 10 Phoenix, police arrested 18-year-old Kaden Lopez, who confessed to participating in the act after seeing a video on social media and deciding to replicate it. The second suspect, Delbert Carver, was arrested in Georgia. He is accused of throwing a sex toy onto the court during a game in Atlanta. He faces charges of disorderly conduct, lewd behavior, and trespassing.

Raine stated that neither of the detained individuals is affiliated with the memecoin group.

League Condemned Fans’ Behavior

The incidents prompted a strong reaction from the WNBA. Los Angeles Sparks head coach Lynne Roberts called the events “stupid and disrespectful.” League representatives stressed that such actions pose a threat to player safety and violate fan conduct rules.

According to WNBA regulations, any spectator who throws an object onto the court must be immediately removed from the venue and may face legal consequences.
