Non-fungible token (NFT) sales jumped to $576 million in July 2025, making it the second strongest month of the year after January. The rise coincided with a rally in Ethereum prices, which reached their highest level since December 2024, and growing interest in more expensive collections. Meanwhile, the number of buyers declined, and the average transaction price hit a six-month high.
Total Sales Volume Increased Nearly 50%
According to data from CryptoSlam, total NFT sales volume rose by 47,6% compared to June, when it amounted to $388.9 million. January remains the leader of 2025 with $678.9 million. Despite the revenue growth, the total number of transactions dropped from 5.5 million to 5 million (–9%).
The number of unique buyers fell by 17% to 713,085. However, the number of sellers increased by 9% to 405,505. At the same time, the average transaction price climbed to $113.08. This indicates a market shift toward higher-priced assets and a reduction in smaller purchases.
NFT Market Capitalization Rose by $1.4 Billion in One Month
According to nftpricefloor, the NFT sector’s market capitalization grew by 21%, from $6.6 billion to $8 billion. One of the key drivers was the rise in Ethereum’s price. ETH has gained nearly 60% since the start of the month and remains above $3.8 thousand.
Monthly Ethereum NFT sales reached $275.6 million, a +56% increase compared to June. Bitcoin and Polygon followed with $74.3 million and $71.6 million respectively. Cardano posted the highest percentage growth among networks at +102%. Solana rose by only 8%, while Polygon and BNB Chain dropped by 51,1% and 54% respectively.
Pudgy Penguins Outpaced Even CryptoPunks in Growth
Among the top-performing collections in July were CryptoPunks ($69.4 million in sales), Pudgy Penguins ($55.6 million), and Bored Ape Yacht Club ($21.4 million). Pudgy Penguins led in floor price growth, rising by 65,34%.
