NFT Market Drops 15% in a Week

Major blockchains report declining NFT sales volumes.

NFT sales volumes are falling across the largest blockchains. Amid a general decline in investor activity, Immutable emerged as the weekly leader, while Polygon was the only one among the top five to show growth.

Immutable and Polygon in the Spotlight

According to Cryptoslam, Immutable reclaimed the top spot for weekly sales volume with $24.621 million, despite a 38,81% drop. The amount of wash trading was symbolic, totaling only $3.

Polygon took second place with $20.841 million in sales and was the only top performer to post a positive change: +0,84%. The wash trading volume on Polygon reached $997,012, or 27,21%.

Ethereum came in third with $18.597 million in sales, down 34,91%. Wash trading amounted to $1.362 million.

Mythos ranked fourth with $13.437 million, a decrease of 5,05%.

Bitcoin rounded out the top five with $7.825 million in sales and a 27,77% decline.

NFT Sales Declined, but CryptoPunks Remain on Top

According to nftpricefloor, CryptoPunks NFTs led the market in terms of sale prices last week. The highest sales were token #3308 and #4281, sold for 99.75 ETH and 69 ETH respectively.

Top NFT Artists

For the week, Larva Labs led among artists with a total volume of $3.132 million. Snowfro took second place with $53,232, followed by Tyler Hobbs with $3,557. The top five also included XCOPY and Beeple. Despite their leading positions, all top artists showed negative performance, ranging from -8,32% to -15,89%.

Overall Market Status

The total NFT sales volume for the week was $113.085 million, down 15,02%. The number of buyers increased to 1,061,348 (+50,56%), and sellers to 38,494 (+8,09%). The number of transactions remained nearly unchanged at 1,660,120 (+0,07%).
