Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor said he has never sold his own Bitcoin and clarified that his advice to never sell BTC applies to his personal holdings, not the company's corporate strategy. His statement came just days after the company once again disclosed the sale of part of its Bitcoin reserves.

“When I say, ‘Never sell your Bitcoin,’ I’m speaking from one investor to another,” Saylor wrote.

According to him, his personal BTC holdings remain untouched, while Strategy, as a publicly traded company, has warned investors since 2020 that it may buy and sell Bitcoin as part of its capital management strategy.

Saylor stressed that the company's long-term commitment to Bitcoin has not changed despite the recent transaction.

His response did not convince longtime Bitcoin critic Peter Schiff, who has also repeatedly criticized Saylor.

“Yes, but you understood the impression you were creating and never tried to clarify it. That means you either deliberately misled people, or you really meant that Strategy would never sell its Bitcoin and are now lying to cover yourself. Either way, it’s not a good look,” he said.
