According to Google, the update expands the capabilities of Google Finance – the free service that provides real-time market data – giving both crypto users and traditional investors instant access to market forecasts.
By integrating data from Kalshi and Polymarket, Google Search will display the probabilities of upcoming events and track forecast changes in real time, simply by typing a query into the search bar. The company said that access to prediction market data will roll out in the coming weeks.
The same update will also introduce Deep Search, powered by the Gemini model, along with new tools for tracking real-time earnings.
Launched in 2020, Polymarket is a decentralized prediction platform built on the Polygon blockchain, where users trade on outcomes of real-world events. Kalshi, founded in 2018, is a U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)-regulated exchange that offers event-based contracts within the traditional financial system.
Both platforms allow users to speculate on a wide range of outcomes, from sports and elections to global economic and social trends.
