An independent organization called Ethereum Institutional has officially launched within the Ethereum ecosystem. Its mission is to advise banks and other institutional participants as they evaluate onchain finance infrastructure.
The project's creators describe Ethereum Institutional as an independent entry point to the Ethereum ecosystem. The organization plans to advise institutional participants and support them in selecting long-term infrastructure solutions.
The project was launched by the team that previously led the Ethereum Foundation’s institutional initiatives and worked with hundreds of institutional market participants. The team will now continue that work as an independent organization backed by long-term funding.
In its initial phase, Ethereum Institutional will focus on advising institutional participants, providing market research, organizing industry events, and promoting the Ethereum ecosystem.
The organization's first sponsors include BitMine, SharpLink, and Joseph Lubin. The organization said it will reveal the names of additional private and institutional sponsors at a later date.
