Bloomberg reports that according to its data, Dogecoin has become very popular among merchants to pay for purchases. According to their data, the number of outlets open to accept this memcoin is growing faster than any other altcoin/memcoin. In particular Bloomberg describes this phenomenon in their new article, while citing such figures:

Journalists noted that the average fee on the network costs <$0.01, which is ~79 times cheaper than the bitcoin blockchain. Transactions are processed in less than a minute. DOGE is suitable for money transfers where commissions are as high as 7% due to intermediaries.

In their recent show, both billionaires, Elon Musk and Mark Cuban, both agreed that Dogecoin is no longer a joke. Bloomberg also confirms, the project is very firmly on its feet, growing its business offline. Unlike other memcoins that have gotten into speculation only, DOGE is building its ecosystem, and is actively getting into the real economy and offline.
