A new and ambitious Web3 project, Black Mirror Club, has emerged, inspired by the dystopian Netflix series Black Mirror.

The creators propose that each user create a “digital passport” — an NFT Social ID — which will reflect their reputation online. The score is calculated based on an analysis of a user’s activity on social media and behavior on the blockchain. According to the project team, this system is intended to influence access to airdrops, collaborations, and other opportunities within the crypto space.

How Social ID Works

To obtain a Social ID, users must complete authentication and register their NFT for free on the project's official website. After registration, an AI system begins analyzing the user’s public posts and transactions. Positive engagement with the community and transparent actions on-chain improve the score. Toxic behavior and suspicious operations decrease it.

The final rating is embedded into the NFT and becomes a public trust metric.

The mechanics of the project resemble the Nosedive episode of Black Mirror, where a social rating influenced every aspect of life. However, in Black Mirror Club, the approach is gamified and voluntary. Participation is the user’s choice. Nonetheless, according to the creators, opting out could mean “being left outside the digital economy of the future.”

Token Launch Preparation

The system is currently in the launch phase. The project team has announced that a native token will be issued in the future. To be eligible, users must complete three steps:

  1. Register their Social ID;
  2. Improve their reputation score;
  3. Review the project concept and read the litepaper.

Context and Comparisons

The project aligns with the growing trend of digital identity systems. In April, Worldcoin launched World ID — a biometric passport based on iris scanning. In contrast, Black Mirror Club focuses not on biometrics but on behavior-based proof of identity.

Additional information is available on the project’s official website.
