Bitcoin posted a sharp bullish surge over the past 24 hours. According to SoSoValue, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a massive $606 million in net single-day inflows.

Fresh capital flooded back into the market following news of the U.S. Treasury's liquidity injection plan and a high-profile White House meeting between President Donald Trump and crypto industry leaders.

Strategy returns to profit

Bitcoin spiked above $78,000, gaining over 8% in a 24-hour rally.

The surge pushed Michael Saylor’s Strategy back into unrealized profit. The company holds 840,447 BTC on its balance sheet at an average cost basis of $75,682 (or $75,385 according to alternative onchain estimates). Following the pump, DropsTab data shows the firm's unrealized gains surged past $2.14 billion.

By contrast, mining giant BitMine holds 5.815 million ETH with an average entry price of $3,366. With Ethereum trading near $2,370, the company’s paper losses sit at approximately $5.792 billion.

Traditional safe-haven assets rallied alongside crypto. Gold hit $4,600 an ounce after gaining 2% on the day, while silver approached $70 an ounce following a 2.5% jump.

ETFs inflows

Institutional capital ramped up buying across multiple assets. Spot Ethereum ETFs pulled in $221 million in a single day, while XRP funds added $13 million and Solana ETFs netted $15 million.

The primary catalyst behind the rally was the U.S. Treasury Department's decision to at least double the size of its buyback operations for 10- to 30-year nominal coupon bonds.

Analysts noted that this move effectively injects fresh liquidity directly into the broader financial system.

The market gained further momentum from new regulatory proposals by the SEC and Donald Trump's White House meeting with top crypto executives.

Shorts get rekt

The price surge triggered a massive wave of forced short liquidations. According to Coinglass data, Bitcoin short liquidations crossed $2.75 billion.

Over the last 24 hours alone, derivative traders lost another $783.2 million to liquidations, with short positions accounting for $747.7 million of the total wipeout.
