Binance has announced that the AI16Z token will be rebranded as ELIZAOS, marking the next phase of the project’s development. The change will affect both spot and futures platforms, with all trading and transfers temporarily paused during the update.
Trading of AI16Z on Binance Alpha 2.0 will be suspended on November 6 at 10:00 UTC for technical maintenance, at which point deposits will also be disabled. Users are advised to complete all transfers beforehand to avoid delays.
All remaining AI16Z balances will be automatically converted to ELIZAOS at a 1:6 ratio. Trading of the new token will resume on November 7 at 02:00 UTC, when deposits will reopen as well.
Token Supply Changes
Following the transition, the token’s total supply will increase from 6.6 billion to 11 billion (+40%). Binance detailed the new allocation breakdown as follows:
- 75% to the community (including 60% converted from AI16Z)
- 5.5% for liquidity and listings
- 4.5% to the project fund
- 2.5% for ecosystem support
- 2.5% to protocol liquidity
- 15% under SAFT agreements
- 10% to the team and contributors
The circulating supply will rise to 7.4 billion tokens, including 607 million reserved for liquidity and listings and 275 million for the protocol’s reserve.
Changes in the Futures Market
Binance Futures will close all open positions on the USDⓈ-M AI16ZUSDT contract at 09:00 UTC on November 6, after which the contract will be automatically settled and delisted. A potential relisting will be announced separately.
Thirty minutes before closure, traders will no longer be able to open new positions. Binance also warned that during the final hour before settlement, the futures insurance fund will not be used, and liquidations will be processed via individual IOCO orders.
The exchange may apply protective measures in case of heightened volatility, such as adjusting leverage, margin, or other contract parameters.
AI16Z has been one of the leading projects in the AI agent sector over the past year. The rebranding to ELIZAOS is expected to signal the start of its next development stage.
