The world’s largest crypto exchange Binance has announced the delisting of four tokens — Alpaca Finance (ALPACA), PlayDapp (PDA), Viberate (VIB), and Wing Finance (WING). Trading of these tokens will cease on May 2, 2025, at 03:00 UTC. The decision follows an internal audit in which the exchange evaluated the assets based on several criteria: team commitment, trading volume, network security, quality of development, and project transparency.
Impact on Spot Market and Trading Bots
It has been reported that all orders for spot pairs involving these tokens will be removed at the scheduled time, and trading bots will be halted. Users are advised to disable these strategies in advance to avoid losses. Within the Copy Trading program, positions will be forcibly liquidated or transferred to spot accounts on May 1 at 03:00 UTC.
Deposit and Withdrawal Restrictions
Starting May 3, deposits of these tokens to Binance will no longer be possible. Withdrawals will only be available until July 4 at 03:00 UTC. After that date, assets may be automatically converted into stablecoins; however, Binance does not guarantee such a conversion will occur.
Futures and Margin Trading
Futures contracts on these tokens will be closed on April 30 with automatic settlement of positions. From 08:30 UTC that day, it will not be possible to open new positions. Additionally, at 10:00 UTC on the same day, Binance will remove the trading pairs from both cross and isolated margin. All open positions will be liquidated and orders canceled.
As of April 25 at 06:00 UTC, new borrowings of these assets on margin will be suspended. Users must independently close positions and repay loans to avoid forced asset sales and liquidation.
Amid the news of delisting, tokens significantly slipped in price:
End of Support in Other Binance Products
The tokens will also be removed from several additional Binance services:
- Binance Simple Earn — May 1.
- Dual Investment — April 25.
- Mining Pool — April 30.
- Flexible/VIP Loans — April 30.
- Binance Convert — May 2.
- Binance Buy & Sell — April 25.
- Binance Gift Card — May 2.
- Binance Pay — April 30.
Balances and Holdings
After delisting, tokens will disappear from account displays if the “Hide Small Balances” filter is enabled. Users should ensure proper fund management and take note of any changes in margin calculations, especially when using Portfolio Margin.
