Animoca Brands Chief Strategy Officer Keyvan Peymani disclosed revenue figures for the first time ahead of the company's planned public listing and outlined the roadmap for the coming year. The firm closed last year with $314 M in revenue and an EBITDA of $97 M. Peymani noted that Animoca has evolved beyond a venture capital fund and now operates as a fully profitable operating business.

Earlier in November, it was announced that Animoca Brands would return to the US public markets via a reverse merger with Currenc Group. The deal is slated to close in 2026, giving shareholders of the Hong Kong-based giant 95% ownership of the new entity.

Peymani described this as a strategic partnership rather than a simple listing vehicle, noting that the fintech partner already processes over 13 million transactions annually, which will significantly bolster the firm's infrastructure.

Peymani attributed the timing of the move to the changing political landscape in Washington. The incoming administration and the expected easing of regulations have opened a window of opportunity for a US market entry.

A New FANG for Investors

The company has high ambitions: Animoca positions itself as the FANG of Web3.

Peymani draws parallels to tech titans like Google and Amazon, whose stocks became the bedrock of the traditional market. Buying Animoca shares would offer institutional investors a safe entry point — access to ecosystem growth without the risk associated with holding volatile assets like Bitcoin or Ether.

Growth Strategies

While Animoca Brands is best known for the metaverse, its focus is shifting toward RWAs and stablecoins. Peymani highlighted two key pillars. The first is Anchor Point, a major stablecoin initiative launched in collaboration with Standard Chartered and Hong Kong Telecom.

The second is a marketplace for real-world assets on the Provenance blockchain. One of the first asset pools will come from fintech company Figure.

According to leadership, institutionalizing the market through these instruments will be the primary driver of future growth.
